David R. Payne is the sole corporate shareholder in David R. Payne, P.A.  David was admitted to practice in the State of North Carolina in 1993 and he is admitted to practice in both state and federal court, including the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.  David received his doctorate in law  from Mississippi College School of Law where he received outstanding honors in the fields of federal courts, counseling and negotiations and domestic relations.  He is a native of Asheville and worked in a family owned construction company for many years; he is married and has two children.

James (Jake) Minick was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 2009. Jake graduated magna cum laude from the Charlotte School of Law, where he served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Charlotte Law Review and as an Associate Justice on Moot Court. Jake is a Waynesville native. He is happily married and has a beautiful daughter.
