Payne, P.A. has acted as the closing attorney for large corporations, small business entities, and individuals for many years.  Experience in the field of real estate transactions entails a large number of residential real estate closings as well as commercial real estate closings.  Issues related to easements, rights of way, clear title to property and purchase money financing have all been matters of legal opinion. All of our paralegals have extensive experience in the field of real estate transactions.

Business Litigation and Construction Litigation: Our firm has enjoyed representing corporate clients with respect to litigation matters associated with their various business interests.  The principal of David R. Payne, P.A. worked in the construction industry for many years thus allowing him a unique “hands-on” experience with both residential and commercial construction issues.

Worker’s Compensation, Employee Representation: At one point in time, David R. Payne, P.A. was engaged as defense counsel for an insurance company and defended worker’s compensation cases throughout Western North Carolina; this evolved into a desire to vigorously represent injured workers in the complex arena of worker’s compensation law.  David R.
